Bethan Darwin

Bethan qualified in 1990 and specialises in employment law, boardroom law and corporate work. She has particular expertise in acting for directors and senior executives including non executive director contracts and share options. She has a portfolio of angel investor clients whom she advises on their angel investments, which often also includes their appointment as non-executive director. She also advises on Corporate Law, advising on the sale and purchase of companies, taking and raising investment, management buy outs and buy ins and shareholder agreements. Deals on which Bethan and her colleague Sarah Bell worked won Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards Small Business Deal of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.

She is one of the best-known employment lawyers in Cardiff and the firm is consistently ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession for employment law in South Wales.

She writes a regular column for the Western Mail on employment and other legal matters called “Law and More”.

Bethan is a fluent Welsh speaker and often appears on local radio and television, commenting on employment law issues in both Welsh and English. She is always happy to advise through the medium of Welsh.
